Getting to Mundulla

All roads lead to Mundulla – and every one of them offers a scenic slice of South Australia.

No matter which direction you’re coming from, the journey to Mundulla is part of the experience. Nestled in the heart of the Tatiara District, Mundulla is a peaceful country town that’s well worth the drive.

Head east on the Dukes Highway (A8) towards Bordertown (approx. 47 km).
Turn right at Meatworks Rd, right onto Rowney Road and follow the road into Mundulla. This road changes name within the Mundulla township to Wirrega Road, Mundulla Cottage and Cabins – number 42 is the second property on your left in the township.

Approx. travel time: 40-45 minutes

Travelling West from Kaniva (VIC)

Take the Western Highway (A8) west towards the SA border and continue on the Dukes Highway into Bordertown (approx. 50 km).
In Bordertown, turn left onto Woolshed Street, right onto South Terrace, left onto Naracoorte Rd, follow this road for about 10km to Mundulla. This road changes name within the township to Wirrega Road, Mundulla Cottage and Cabins – number 42 is the second property on your left in the township.

Approx. travel time: 40–45 minutes
Note: You’ll cross the South Australia/Victoria border – don’t forget any quarantine rules for fruit or plants!

Travelling North from Naracoorte

Take Riddoch Highway north towards Bordertown (approx. 25 km). Turn right onto Naracoorte-Bordertown Road (approx. 50km). At a major offset crossroad intersection, turn left onto Rowney Road, and follow into Mundulla. This road changes name within the township to Wirrega Road, number 42 is the second property on your left in the township.

Approx. travel time: 50-60 minutes

Travelling South from Pinnaroo

Take the Mallee Highway (B12) west towards Lameroo, then turn left, head south on the Ngarkat Highway (B57).
You will arrive at the Dukes Highway (A8), turn left, head east on the Dukes Highway (A8) towards Bordertown.
Turn right at Meatworks Rd, right onto Rowney Road and follow the road into Mundulla. This road changes name within the Mundulla township to Wirrega Road, Mundulla Cottage and Cabins – number 42 is the second property on your left in the township.

Watch out for kangaroos on the Ngarkat Highway, especially at dawn and dusk – this is classic roo country!
